2-28-2014 11:47 AM. Deputies from the BCSO responded to the 1100 of 188th RD to check on a vehicle at that residence that was possibly stolen. After checking the vehicle's vin# the vehicle was a stolen out of Ames. Deputies then made contact with the owner of the residence to inquire about a person of interest in the investigation into the stolen vehicle who was spotted in the residence by the deputies. Entry was made, and the suspect Bradley Baumann was located in the residence and arrested on two outstanding warrants from Story County. Another individual was taken into custody in the residence and initially gave officers the wrong name but after a brief investigation his true identity was revealed, Nathanial Sejaan had outstanding warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody. Both subjects were transported to the BCJ. The investigation is continuing.

2-28-2014 2:43 PM. The Ogden High School received a report of a possible bomb threat at the high school. Chief Mick Bailey responded along with Chief Deputy Lampe. The school was temporarily evacuated and a search was conducted by law enforcement and school officials. Nothing was found, and students were allowed to return.

3-2-2014 A deputy from the BCSO responded to a citizen request to look for a person who she believed may be in danger outside in the elements and off his medication. After a long investigation the individual was located in a truck. Rescue personel were called to treat the individual for frostbite.

3-1-2014 3:26 PM. A person called to report that she was taking a shortcut to Des MOines and went into the ditch in the 300 Blk of W av. A deputy from the BCSO responded to the location, and after a brief investigation took the driver Christi Levine into custody for possible OWI and transported to the BCJ for further testing.

3-4-2014 7:17 PM. A deputy made a traffic stop at hwy 210 and Y ave. and after a brief investigation Randy Brock was cited for a traffic violation and drug paraphernalia.

3-4-2014 4:38 PM. A person called the BCSO 911 center to report that she was having chest pains and had passed out and went into the ditch. She did not know where she was exactly, but the 911 dispatcher located her and sent rescue and officers to assist her. There was also a small child with her who was not injured. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.

3-5-2014 10:24 AM. The BCSO began an investigation into a burglary that occurred in the 6100 blk of Lincolnway. Among the items taken were some power tools and some personel items. The investigation is continuing.

3-7-2014 4:49 AM. A person called the BCSO 911 center to report his house was on fire in the 60 blk of X ave. A deputy from the BCSO along with the Story City Fire Department responded to the scene. The owner of the house against advise went back into to get his dogs and was treated for smoke inhalation when the fire department arrived. There were no serious injuries.

3-8-2014 7:55 PM. A deputy from the BCSO stopped a vehicle at hwy 17 and US 30 for driving 108 MPH. The driver Zachary Lay was also charged with having a dangerous weapon and possession under legal age. An investigation into the incident is on going.

3-9-2014 1:18 PM. A deputy from the BCSO made a traffic stop in the 1200 blk of 110th. After a brief investigation the driver of the car Levi Vaughan was detained for further investigation into possible OWI. Vaughan was also cited for excessive speed and open container.

3-8-2014 3:54 AM. A person called the BCSO to report that someone entered their house while they were sleeping in the 40 blk of 310th. A deputy responded and the owner of the residence advised that a male was standing in their house and when confronted left the residence in a newer model silver or gray truck, possibly a Chevrolet. If anyone has any information about this please call the BCSO at 515-433-0524.

3-10-2014 1:07 A person called the BCSO and said there was a car in the ditch just West of the river on E-41. A deputy went to check on the car and located the driver walking toward Boone. The driver was uninjured but had significant damage to the car. The driver Chelsey Schaefer was charged with fail to maintain control of her vehicle.

3-11-2014 9:55 AM. A person called the BCSO to report that a male had a female down on the ground and appeared to be punching her at 180th a D ave. A deputy responded to the area and located the individuals. Both participants were intoxicated, but no one was injured. No arrest were made.

3-12-2014 2:15 PM. A deputy arrested Thomas Elder on a warrant from Cerro Gordo County and transported to the BCJ. Authorities from Cerro Gordo County will pick up and transport.

3-17-2014 2:19 PM. The BCSO took a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the 800 blk of 216th Dr. It appears someone took a hammer and hit the side of the vehicle causing the damage. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

3-10-2014 1200 PM. The BCSO began an investigation into a violation of the sex offender residency requirement. The BCSO became aware of the case and contacted the offender and advised him that he was in violation of the requirements at the residence he was staying at. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

 3-18-2014 10:17 AM. The BCSO began a burglary investigation that occurred in the 2100 blk of Industrial Park. Wires were cut on some of the equipment stored in the building. An inventory was underway to see what was missing. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

3-18-2014 6:11 AM. Per Mar security called the BCSO to report an alarm at 1206 East Av. The communication specialist advised Per Mar there was no such address in Boone County. The communication specialist quickly determined the correct address and had a deputy respond to the area. The alarm was triggered by construction workers.

3-17-2014 A person called the BCSO to report that he was contacted by a person who was demanding a large some of money that he supposedly owed and if not paid he would be arrested and held in jail. This is a scam. The BCSO reminds residents to be mindful of anyone demanding money over the phone. If in doubt simply hang up and call law enforcement.

3-19-2014 11:53 AM. The BCSO began an investigation into a theft of copper in the 900 blk of Quartz.

3-19-2014 6:01 AM. The BCSO 911 center took a call of a vehicle on it's top in the 800 blk of 216th. A vehicle driven by Donald Wright of Boone lost control of his vehicle due to slippery surface conditions and flipped over into the ditch. Wright was pinned in the vehicle for several minutes until he was freed by the Ogden Fire department personnel and first responders. Wright was transported to the Boone County Hospital.

3-22-2014 8:54 PM. A person called the BCSO to report a vehicle on it's side in the ditch in the 2000 blk of Clover Ave. A deputy from the BCSO responded and located the vehicle and owner trying to remove the vehicle. The deputy identified the driver as Antonio Sanchez. Sanchez stated that he was trying to tune the radio when he lost control of his vehicle. Sanchez was cited for failure to maintain control and released. There were no injuries.

3-20-2014 11:18 PM. A person called the BCSO and advised they were having mental difficulties and needed some assistance. A deputy responded to Luther to assist the person. The person was eventually taken to Mary Greeley for evaluation.

3-20-2014 11:41 AM. The BCSO responded to a fire in the 200 of G ave. A corn crib had crib caught fire and fully engulfed when deputies arrived. The Ogden Fire Department along with the Boxholm and Pilot Mound fire departments extinguished the fire. The corn crib was a total loss. There were no reported injuries.

3-20-2014 10:57 AM. Nicole Yungclas was arrested on a Boone County warrant for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the BCJ.

3-24-2014 12:54 AM. A deputy from the BCSO assisted the Madrid Police department with a domestic in the city of Madrid. After a physical altercation at an apartment in Madrid the female half of the domestic altercation left the house and according to the male half was driving intoxicated. A deputy located her driving and stopped to check her welfare and found her to be impaired. Valarie Moore was taken to the BCJ for further testing into possible OWI. The investigation into the domestic situation is continuing.

3-25-2014 11:15 AM. The Ogden Community School District called and wanted the BCSO to check on a child who was not in school. A deputy went to 965 222nd st to check the residence. The mother advised the child was with the father who had car trouble and assured the BCSO the child would be in school on Wednesday.

3-25-2014 10:09 AM. A person called and wanted the BCSO to do a welfare check on a person in the 800 blk of Longbow Pl. The person had not shown for an appointment. A deputy checked the residence, no cars were at the residence and nothing visable through the windows. A deputy checked again later with the same results.

3-26-2014 11:27  PM. The Iowa State Patrol had in custody a male juvenile that had run away from a church in Boone, and who was attempting to break into the United Community school . A deputy from the BCSO meant with the state trooper at the school and the juvenile showed the officers where he tried to gain entry into the building and also a bus. While the juvenile was being questioned he also admitted trying to break in to several homes in the area. The juvenile was transported to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

3-26-2014 9:28 PM. A person called the BCSO to report that a group of individuals was attempting to make entry into his residence in the 100 blk of T ave. Deputies from the BCSO responded and located the individuals. After a brief investigation one of the persons involved Katherine Johnson was taken into custody for investigation into OWI, and trespassing, and another individual Nakisha Host was also taken into custody for trespassing. The investigation into the incident is continuing. 

3-27-2014 2:21 PM. A person called from the Southeast Webster Grand School and wanted to report a theft of money sometime within the last two days. A deputy from the BCSO responded and began the investigation.

3-30-2014 10:57 PM. A deputy from the BCSO made a traffic stop in the 2200 Rose Road. After brief investigation the driver of the vehicle Kimberly Roberts was detained for further investigation into possible OWI.

3-30-2014 8:18 PM. A person called the BCSO 911 center and advised that a car had crashed into a tree in the 1100 blk of 198th Rd and there were two people injured with one unconscious. Deputies from the BCSO along with BPD and the BFD responded to the accident scene. Two people were taken to the Boone County Hospital and one was airlifted to Des Moines. The driver of the vehicle was Gary Wiebers and his passenger was Ginger Wiebers. Their condition is not known at this time and the accident remains under investigation.

3-30-2014 A deputy observed a vehicle in the 200 blk of 169 turn off its headlights and stop on a gravel road. After the deputy pulled in behind the vehicle. One person was outside the vehicle and two inside. After a brief investigation all three people, Alexandrea Lyons, Scott Swartzle and Steven Yorio were arrested for possession of a control substance and Yorio was also charged with being intoxicated in public.

3-28-2014 10:40 PM. Deputies from the BCSO interrupted an underage gathering at the Wagon Wheel Bridge. Several individuals were found and checked for alcoholic beverage consumption. After a brief investigation some individuals were cited for the underage drinking and released to their parents. Those who were not drinking were allowed to leave.
